• Representation is overdue. Payroll professionals have long been underrepresented in industry, policy, and government dialogues. That is now changing.
• Payroll Manager is formally recognised as an occupation, a separate stream from Bookkeeping, HR and Accounting as of 06 December 2024, due to IPM’s work.
• Education is key. With limited access to structured learning and professional standards, the profession has been overlooked. IPM and My CPE are changing that by introducing nationally recognised qualifications and a formal certification pathway.
